About Me
Project Title: A Social Robot as a Health Educator for Heart Failure Patients Using the Teach-Back Method
Hello, and welcome! I am Lisa Armstrong, a registered nurse, instructional designer, and aspiring researcher in social robotics. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology at Emporia State University. My project, A Social Robot as a Health Educator for Heart Failure Patients Using the Teach-Back Method, adapts earlier thesis work into a practical instructional design project. My interests include social robots for healthcare and autism support, evidence-based instructional design, and human-centered artificial intelligence. After completing my degree, I hope to continue working at the intersection of healthcare, education, and emerging technology to create technology that genuinely improves learning and patient outcomes.
